About the role: As we continue to grow and welcome new companies into our portfolio, we are seeking an Operations Director to bridge the gap between our investment team and central management, while leading our new software team in scaling and developing effectively. The Director of Operations will be central to scaling our business and ensuring operational excellence across every function — from sales and marketing to technology, HR, and finance. This is a hands-on leadership role with exposure to all facets of the business. You’ll help manage today while building for tomorrow, directly impacting our revenue growth, team development, and strategic positioning.

The successful candidate will work from the Los Angeles area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership – Drive day-to-day operations with a deep focus on prioritization, project management, and cross-department alignment.
  • Sales and Customer Engagement – Work with existing clients and form new relationships with partners, affiliates, and clients to help grow the business and shape the product.
  • Strategic Execution – Own and execute company-wide initiatives that create enterprise value and support strategic growth (including M&A).
  • Team Leadership & Culture Building – Inspire, mentor, and empower our small but mighty team, fostering a high-performance, entrepreneurial culture.
  • Client & Partnership Management – Support B2B relationships with studio clients and help grow the B2C revenue stream through marketing initiatives and partnerships.
  • Financial Oversight – Partner with Solen leadership, the CEO and finance team to analyze the P&L, optimize margins, and find scalable growth opportunities.
  • Process & Quality Champion – Create systems and processes that enhance quality, reduce friction, and protect the most valuable resource: time.
  • Software Operations Proximity – Work closely with technical and product teams to understand product roadmaps, manage technical debt, and improve software delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a software or technology company.
  • Proven track record in and knowledge of the entertainment industry is essential
  • 7+ years of proven experience working directly with major studios (some Big Six exposure strongly preferred).
  • Direct success track in marketing, marketing analytics, and/or developing corporate partnerships is a plus.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead through change, inspire teams, and create a positive, accountable culture.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a keen understanding of the B2B SaaS market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to connect with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in financial management, P&L responsibilities and budgeting.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
